Lindsey M. Valenti

Lindsey is a New Orleans native and an alumna of Mount Carmel Academy in Lakeview. Lindsey attended Loyola University of New Orleans, where she was the recipient of an academic scholarship. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2006, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law in 2010.

She began her law career at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office as a law clerk in the Felony Trials Division, where she aided in the successful prosecution of several high profile cases. Lindsey went on to work as an attorney for Edward J. Womac, Jr. & Associates for four years, where she specialized in high volume personal injury litigation.

In 2016, Lindsey became the Chief Legal Counsel to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, where she carried on her family’s legacy as third-generation law enforcement. Lindsey served the Sheriff’s Office for eight years under Sheriffs Newell Normand and Joe Lopinto, where she negotiated contracts, supervised, managed, and resolved claims made against the Office, and advised on department policy. She has prosecuted, defended, and negotiated matters across many legal disciplines.

Professional Affiliations

Lindsey is admitted to practice in Louisiana courts and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and Jefferson Bar Association, and she sits on the board of the JBA Young Lawyers Division

Community Involvement

Lindsey is a member of her local Kiwanis club, the Dawn Busters, which provides scholarships for local high school seniors, outreach programs for adults with disabilities, and performs multiple service projects for the Metairie community.
