Daniel is a native New Orleanian and graduate of the Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law. His legal career started during law school while employed as a clerk in the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office. As a clerk, he gained extensive courtroom experience at criminal trials and in civil matters related to securing protective orders for victims of domestic abuse. After law school, his practice primarily involved insurance defense matters consisting of coverage disputes, first party claims, general liability claims and matters involving workers’ compensation law, which provided some early trial experience.
As Daniel’s practice has grown, the scope of his civil litigation work has broadened beyond insurance defense so that Daniel is also seasonably retained for cases involving securities law, FINRA proceedings, land-use litigation, municipal incorporation and UDRP/ICANN disputes. Today, Daniel’s practice primarily involves litigation relative to insurance coverage, construction defects, commercial automobile/general liability and claims of environmental damage.
Daniel has been affiliated with the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Louisiana Association of Self-Insured Employers, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He has also been awarded the Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation after successfully completing requirements of the Litigation Management Institute hosted at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
