Joe’s litigation practice encompasses a broad range of insurance defense, product liability, trucking and transportation, class action, premises liability, and commercial litigation matters. As a passionate litigator with a keen eye for detail, Joe has quickly established himself as a formidable advocate for his clients throughout all stages of the litigation process. He has defended the interests of multinational retailers, major insurance carriers (both admitted and surplus), contractors, elderly care facilities, leading transportation carriers, and Fortune 100 product manufacturers against personal injury, construction defect, premises liability, and product liability claims. Having represented clients across such a diverse spectrum of industries and business models, Joe appreciates the importance of developing a litigation management plan that aligns with each clients’ unique risk appetite and business approach.

Joe routinely prepares for and represents clients in bench and jury trials throughout Louisiana, ranging from complex, bet-the-company class actions, to minor, routine demands. He is skilled at managing all pre-trial motion practice and discovery, including deposing claimants and expert witnesses in cases involving catastrophic injuries, mTBIs, and sensitive, high-profile matters.

From pre-suit risk mitigation counsel through trial, Joe is known for his persuasive advocacy and ability to deftly navigate the litigation process to successfully resolve each claim as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible.

Education

A native New Orleanian, Joe graduated Jesuit High School in New Orleans, LA, Joe and received his Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University. Joe went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University (LSU), which he attended on a Dean’s Scholarship. During his law school tenure, Joe was twice-recognized as a Dean’s Scholar, participated in the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court appellate advocacy competition, and served as an extern for the Attorney General’s Office at the Louisiana Department of Justice.
