Akuda E. Esin

Associate

Akuda Esin is a native of Dallas, TX and graduate of Jesuit College Prep. Akuda received his undergraduate degree in communications from Louisiana State University in 2017 and received his Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2023.

During his time at the Law Center, Akuda served as an extern with the Louisiana Attorney General’s office at the Department of Justice. He also participated in LSU Law’s annual Vinson & Elkins Trial Advocacy program, after which he was recognized as one of eighteen students who achieved excellence in oral advocacy, earning him membership in the Wex Malone Inn of Court. He received the CALI award for academic excellence in Legal Interviewing & Counseling. Akuda clerked for Duplass during his 2L summer and final year of law school before joining the firm full time as an associate in Fall 2023.

While at LSU Law, he was appointed and served as the 2021-22 term Chair of the Diversity and Professionalism Committee of the LSU Law Student Bar Association. Additionally, he was elected by his peers to serve two consecutive terms as the 54th National Treasurer/CFO of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), the largest student-led organization in the country, from 2021-2023. He received the Chelsea Kryst Spirit Award as a testament to his service to NBLSA.
