Codee D. Jones

Biography

Codee is a native of New Orleans, LA, and a graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican High School in New Orleans. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Communications with a minor in English from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. While at LSU, Codee was selected as one of twelve recipients of the prestigious Tiger Twelve Award, which recognizes students for their academic excellence, leadership, and service to the campus, the surrounding community, and society.

She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge, where she served as President of the LSU Chapter of the National Black Law Students Association and as a Junior Editor for the Journal of Civil Law Studies. The most rewarding part of law school for Codee was representing her own clients as a Rule XX student practitioner in the Youth Defense Clinic.

Throughout her time at LSU Law, Codee was a recipient of the LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship each academic year. In recognition of her academic achievement and leadership, she was also a two-time recipient of the Louisiana Judicial Scholarship, awarded to one of four law students in the state representing LSU Law.
