Biography
Linda Hewlett Adams was recently named partner within the Duplass law firm. Linda grew up in the Lakeview area of New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Mount Carmel Academy, she knew she had a future legal career. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University with a bachelor in accountancy in 2008. While at Loyola, she received the Dean’s Award for the College of Business, the top honor awarded in the entire College. After receiving a scholarship, she decided to attend Loyola University College of Law where she graduated in 2011 with her Juris Doctorate. In law school, Linda served as the Case Note/Comment Editor of the Journal of Public Interest Law. She earned two Law in Excellence Awards for receiving the top grade in the class in both Federal Civil Procedure and Donations & Trusts.
Linda transitioned into the firm from working in the Jefferson Parish Attorney’s Office where she negotiated engineering, architect, and construction contracts, drafted legislation regarding procurement procedures, and monitored local governmental compliance with state public bid law. Linda focuses on the areas of personal injury defense, insurance coverage disputes, appellate practice, contractual law, and construction law.
