A native of Zachary, Louisiana, Arthur graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center.
While in law school, Arthur was President of the Student Bar Association and a Student Attorney in both the Administrative/Civil Law and Mediation Clinics. As a civil law student attorney, he authored, argued, and won a defense motion for summary judgment in a premises liability matter. His time as a student mediator was likewise successful, as he assisted in the resolution of a complex domestic dispute and received certification from the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service. Arthur additionally served as a teaching assistant and clerked at Baton Rouge City Court as a law student.
Eager to utilize some of his training in the civil realm, Arthur clerked at Orleans Parish Civil District Court after graduation. Prior to joining the firm, he entered private practice at a New Orleans firm with a practice focused on toxic tort, premises liability, and product liability defense.
