Duplass Expands Metairie Office with Two New Associate Attorneys

Duplass, Zwain, Bourgeois, Pfister, Weinstock & Bogart is pleased to welcome two new associate attorneys to our office in Metairie, LA.  John G. Yadamec and Andrew J. Lair join us as graduates from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.  John and Andrew are the newest members of the firm and will help continue the firm’s tradition of representing individuals, families, and businesses with integrity and positive advocacy.

John G. Yadamec received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans in 2013 and a Juris Doctor from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2017. At Loyola, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and President of the Loyola Maritime Law Society. John was a three-time competitor for the Loyola Moot Court program as a member of the 2016–17 National Team, 2016 Admiralty Team, and 2015 Constitutional Criminal Procedure Team. He was also selected for membership in the Order of Barristers.  Prior to joining the firm in 2018, John was a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. In 2017, he presented a paper entitled “A Primer on the Availability of Punitive Damages in Unseaworthiness Claims” at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s 24th Annual Admiralty Symposium.

Andrew J. Lair is a New Orleans native and Brother Martin High School graduate.  He attended Bucknell University where he was a member of the football team. Andrew graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and History.  He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2018.  While at LSU, Andrew received both the Dean’s Scholar Award and the Paul M. Hebert Scholar Award, as well as the CALI Award for the highest grade in Contracts II, Gaming Law, and Real Estate Development.  He also took part in the Ira S. Flory Trial Advocacy Competition and worked at the Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office as a Rule XX student prosecutor where he made multiple appearances before the Honorable Bonnie Jackson.
