Pfister
Mike received both his MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees from Tulane
University in 1984. Mike originally started working with Larry Duplass
and Gary Zwain as a law clerk and a court runner while still in school
back in the early 80s, and became an associate with the firm in 1984.
Developing a general civil practice focused primarily in the insurance
defense litigation field, Mike has considerable trial and appellate
experience in both the federal and state courts of Louisiana. Mike
also serves on the Duplass Executive Committee, which handles the
day-to-day operations of the law firm. Mike and his wife, Carol, have
two daughters, Rachel and Emily, and a son, Austin. Areas

Insurance Defense Litigation, Construction Litigation, Sexual Abuse,
Extra-contractual and Bad Faith Litigation, Medical Malpractice,
Auto and Premises Liability, Environmental and Asbestos Litigation
and Insurance Coverage Disputes.

A member of the New Orleans, Jefferson, and Louisiana Bar Associations,
Mike practices before all Louisiana State Courts, the U.S. District
Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana,
The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme
Court.
