Originally from Puerto Rico, Gissel graduated from the University of Arizona in 2001. In 2004, she received her Juris Doctorate, with a Certificate in International Law, from Loyola University School of Law. Gissel graduated in the top 15% of her class, and was an active member of the Moot Court Staff. In 2002, she represented Loyola University at the John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition in Chicago, Illinois. Upon her admittance to the bar, Gissel began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Parish of Orleans, and conducted more than 20 jury trials in that capacity. In April of 2006, she joined our firm as an associate. Gissel is also fluent in Spanish.

A member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, Gissel is admitted to practice for all state courts in the State of Louisiana as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
